About Us
Reinvent Counseling offers individual and group counseling programs serving teens and tweens struggling with social interactions, anxiety, stress, or meeting friends.
Groups make individuals stronger.
We understand that counseling is not “one-size-fits-all”, but group counseling has proven success.
Joining a group workshop at Reinvent Counseling will help children and teens become socialized, confident, and empowered. When group members share similar experiences, they create bonds. They learn about themselves through communication and self-disclosure.
Reinvent Counseling helps nurture feelings of independence and social acceptance through group interaction.
Our Philosophy.
Reinvent Counseling was founded by a school counselor, behavior therapist, and ecotherapist who combine techniques from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Third Wave CBT (including Mindfulness, DBT, and goal setting), and Horticultural Therapy to teach effective stress relief strategies. We believe that getting through adolescence is easier with the support of a group of peers who are facing similar changes and challenges.
Teens need each other to learn about the world—especially now, as we re-emerge from the pandemic and discover who we are in this new landscape. Engaging with peers in group counseling is particularly beneficial during this time of transition.
Our counselors are certified Ecotherapists!
Our counselors are certified ecotherapists, bringing a wealth of expertise to our nature-based approach. During the pandemic, research highlighted the growing number of people turning to nature for relief and solace. While ecotherapy is not new, ongoing research continually demonstrates its effectiveness as an innovative way to address mental health challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, and sensory integration difficulties.
Immersion in nature has consistently shown positive benefits for both physical and mental health, making it a powerful tool in our therapeutic practice.
